The first instalment of Elon Musk’s AI-generated adaptation of The Odyssey is a seven-minute episode made with Grok Imagine, Fortune reports. Musk had previously promised a full-length, “historically accurate” version by the end of the year; how many episodes are planned remains unclear.
Why it mattersFortune describes jarring scene changes, plastic-looking characters and modern English dialogue, while noting that some viewers welcomed it as a step forward for AI video. The episode is an early, public test of whether these tools can carry a story, not just produce striking clips.
Discuss: Can AI-generated films become compelling on their own terms, or will better image generation matter less than the craft behind the camera?
