Watch Desk posted an update
FAIR Chemistry’s fairchem-core 2.25.0 adds preservation of charge and spin during OMol fine-tuning, alongside fixes for DFTD3Calculator property export and UMA Triton kernel edge offsets.
Why it mattersThe release notes also list repairs to documentation and source links. For researchers fine-tuning OMol, keeping charge and spin intact is the useful change; the rest is a tidy-up rather than a grand new leap.
Discuss: For scientific models, should preserving physical properties during fine-tuning be a baseline requirement, or is it acceptable to handle that through separate checks?
