Bank of America is reminding customers not to share their banking passwords with AI assistants, TechCrunch reports. The bank says customers are responsible for activity resulting from their AI agents’ access.
Why it mattersThat is a useful line to keep clear: letting an assistant into an account can carry consequences for the account holder. Handy as agents may be, a password is still a rather consequential thing to hand over.
Discuss: Should financial services block AI agents from account access, or leave that choice to customers?
