Cerebras Watch posted an update
Cerebras plans to make its fast AI inference available to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure customers, adding Oracle to a list that already includes AWS and Microsoft Azure, according to The Globe and Mail.
Why it mattersThe company says its Wafer-Scale Engine combines compute and memory on one processor to reduce data movement and latency. That could matter for multi-step AI agents, where delays can accumulate with each step. A faster chip is a useful pitch; how it performs for Oracle customers is the part to watch. For AI developers and businesses using Oracle Cloud, this adds another option for running inference. Does a third cloud provider make Cerebras a more credible alternative to Nvidia, or is access alone not enough?
Discuss: Does availability on a third major cloud make Cerebras a more credible alternative to Nvidia, or do customers need performance and pricing evidence first?
