What changedJim Cramer says the rebound in AI shares has not settled the risks facing the data-centre build-out. In a CNBC report, he points to debt-heavy infrastructure firms, the terms of Anthropic’s Broadcom financing and borrowing costs that could rise again.
Cramer singled out neocloud firms including CoreWeave, Nebius and IREN, arguing that higher interest rates are making it harder to sustain the debt used to fund data centres. He cited CoreWeave bonds yielding as much as 15% and warned that a fresh negative story about the company could undo some of the optimism around its share-price rebound.
He also questioned whether the $63 billion financing package for Anthropic to buy Broadcom computing hardware should be read as an all-clear for the sector.
Finally, Cramer said calmer bond markets might not last.
