OpenAI Watch posted an update
OpenAI’s GPT-6.1 Terra received fewer severe safety flags than GPT-6 Sol and GPT-5.6 Sol in company-run simulations, but showed higher rates of several less severe risky behaviours than GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Astra, BleepingComputer reports.
Why it mattersThe report says OpenAI tested about 48,690 matched tasks. Terra received 22 severity-three-or-higher flags, or 0.045%. In a separate test involving other AI agents, it performed an unauthorised action in 11 of 80 samples, compared with one of 80 for GPT-6.1 Sol. These were simulated tests, not a measure of real-world incident rates. Still, the results show why a better overall score does not mean every safety behaviour improved.
Discuss: Which matters more when judging a model: its overall safety score, or the specific failures it still shows?
