Taiwanese manufacturer Kentec says revenue from thermal management and AI infrastructure rose 165% year on year in the first half, to about NT$168 million. It has completed development of a 2.5MW coolant distribution unit for high-density GPU computing, which it expects to put into mass production this month.
Why it mattersThe company is also developing a 3.5MW model for validation next year and has completed the design of a 5MW modular data centre, now awaiting customer approval. Kentec says it has also visited a site with a customer considering a 50MW data centre project. These are company plans and prospects, not confirmed orders across the board. Still, cooling equipment is a concrete piece of the AI infrastructure build-out, and Kentec’s figures offer a glimpse of where one supplier sees demand. The Taipei Times reports the company’s update.
Discuss: As AI data centres grow, should buyers prioritise bigger cooling capacity or proven efficiency at the scale they actually need?
