NetDocuments chief executive Josh Baxter is pitching a “legal context graph” as a way to make sense of fragmented AI tools, using the familiar nuisance of hunting across streaming apps as his analogy. His keynote at the company’s Inspire conference put NetDocuments at the centre, with Harvey, OpenAI and other models around it.
Why it mattersThe useful question is who chooses which model gets to access the relevant information. Baxter’s vision is for software to find the right material without users having to hop between systems and matter numbers. That is a company vision, not evidence here that the proposed approach is already doing the job. Legal AI may need a good organiser as much as another model. Should the platform holding the documents choose which AI works on them, or should that choice stay with the customer?
