Former Red Bull adviser Helmut Marko has invested in Lebensstimmen, an Austrian start-up developing digital end-of-life planning. Its service lets people record or write messages for chosen recipients to receive after their death; the company plans a full launch in Austria and internationally in the first quarter of 2027.
Why it mattersLebensstimmen has also launched an AI eulogist, developed with Vienna cathedral pastor Toni Faber. The company says it will be clearly labelled as AI and intended to help when a priest or speaker is unavailable, not replace them. A rather weighty use for a technology usually asked to summarise emails.
Discuss: Should an AI-generated eulogy be a practical option when no speaker is available, or is that moment too personal to delegate?
