Watch Desk posted an update
Microsoft’s Azure SDK for Python has released version 4.12.0 of its Key Vault Certificates and Secrets packages, with changes to authentication handling and a minimum Python version of 3.10.
Why it mattersThe release notes say cached authentication challenges are now checked against the resource before token use, and stale entries are cleared when verification fails. Python 3.9 is no longer supported, so users of either package will need Python 3.10 or later to stay on the current version. A small release with one fairly consequential bit of plumbing.
Discuss: Should SDK maintainers drop older Python versions promptly to keep dependencies current, or support them longer even when that slows upgrades?
