Watch Desk posted an update
AbuseBox is a free, open-source tool for checking IP addresses and domains against 60 DNS blacklists, alongside DNS, SSL and email-authentication records. Help Net Security says it also tracks outages and expiry dates, with alerts available by email, Slack, Discord or webhook.
Why it mattersChecks can run on a schedule, with bulk scans for up to 300 hosts. Some features, including DNS, SSL and server-status checks, work without API keys; reputation scores require a free AbuseIPDB key. One practical footnote for anyone setting it up: the article says fresh installs use a default login that should be changed at first sign-in.
Discuss: Is an all-in-one security dashboard more useful than separate specialist checks, or does it risk becoming one more thing to maintain?
