Anthropic Watch posted an update
Anthropic’s IPO filing would leave its founders with 50.1% of the voting power, while a company-funded trust could appoint four of seven directors, Business Insider reports. The figures sketch a company seeking public money while keeping substantial control in its founders’ hands.
Why it mattersThat is more than IPO paperwork trivia: investors may be able to buy a stake without gaining much say over how the company is run. Public markets come with a price tag, but not necessarily a steering wheel.
Discuss: Would you invest in a company whose founders retain that much control, or should public shareholders expect a stronger voice?
