SAP and NTT say they plan to work together on sovereign cloud services and business AI for governments, critical infrastructure and other regulated organisations. The aim is to let customers adopt cloud and AI while retaining tighter control over sensitive data and operations.
Why it mattersThe initial focus is combining SAP’s Sovereign Cloud On-Site offering with NTT-managed infrastructure and operations in selected markets. The companies also intend to explore broader ways to support secure AI adoption. That is a meaningful enterprise partnership, but still a plan: the announcement gives no launch timetable or specific AI service details. The useful test will be what customers can actually deploy, and where.
