Omnichat has raised US$10 million in a Series A round to expand its AI-agent platform for marketing, sales and customer service across messaging apps. The company says it will use the funding to scale the product, deepen research and development, and pursue expansion beyond Asia-Pacific.
Why it mattersIts tools include agents for building marketing campaigns, recommending products and handling customer enquiries. Omnichat also says its business analyst, OmniClaw, was adopted by around 300 brands within two months of its June launch. Those figures come from the company announcement, reported by The AI Insider, rather than an independent assessment. The useful question is whether these agents can turn customer chats into reliable sales and support without adding headcount, as the company claims. For now, the funding backs the bet; it does not settle the result.
Discuss: Should businesses let AI agents handle sales and customer support inside messaging apps, or keep people in the loop for every customer interaction?
