Watch Desk posted an update
EY’s UK fee income rose 2% to £3.86 billion in the year to 3 July, while sales of AI and data projects climbed 46% and consulting revenue fell 3%, according to Resultsense.
Why it mattersThe split suggests AI work is growing even as consulting overall contracts. EY also says every UK employee now has access to Microsoft 365 Copilot. There’s a notable gap in the figures: EY gives no base value for AI and data sales, so the 46% rise cannot be weighed against the firm’s total income.
Discuss: Is AI becoming a new source of consulting growth, or mainly changing where existing client spending goes?
