Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta’s Prometheus AI supercluster in Ohio uses Arista 7800-series switches with Broadcom Jericho3 silicon to connect its network fabrics, SDxCentral reports, citing Meta’s disclosure.
Why it mattersThat aggregation layer links parts of the cluster’s network, a crucial bit of plumbing when large AI systems need to operate together. Meta plans to expand the Ohio site and apply lessons from it to a future supercluster in Louisiana. The report does not give a launch date for the Louisiana project.
Discuss: How much should infrastructure design like this matter when judging an AI supercluster, compared with the chips it runs?
