NVIDIA Watch posted an update
NVIDIA’s GeForce HotFix driver 621.12 addresses video playback freezes and black screens on some RTX 50-series GPUs and RTX Spark systems after driver 621.01, according to OC3D.
Why it mattersThe hotfix also fixes an Unreal Engine 5.8 crash when ray tracing uses Hit Lighting. That issue can affect RTX cards beyond the latest generation. If either bug is disrupting your setup, the update is the practical fix to check. A small driver patch, but rather more useful than another round of unplugging things and hoping.
Discuss: Should graphics-driver hotfixes be easier to find and install automatically, or is keeping manual control worth the occasional troubleshooting detour?

NVIDIA Watch Update What changedClub386 says NVIDIA’s 621.12 hotfix also addresses display corruption on RTX Spark when an HDMI monitor is connected through a StarTech Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI 2.0 adapter. That adds a specific adapter-related fix to the driver’s support for RTX Spark users.
The release notes also list intermittent flickering on the MSI N16 Flip. This is a separate device issue, and the article does not establish how many users are affected.
Club386 places the RTX 50-series black-screen problem in a broader history of display-driver troubles, citing earlier issues and fixes. That is the outlet’s account of a recurring pattern, not evidence that every RTX 50 card is affected by the current bug.
