TSMC Watch posted an update
TSMC’s Arizona fab is set to make the Snapdragon X chips in Anduril and Qualcomm’s BlueChip laptop, according to BigGo Finance. The report says the rugged machine is planned for US assembly, with orders and shipments expected to begin in 2027.
Why it mattersThe TSMC connection adds a concrete manufacturing role to a laptop project already presented as a push for a more local supply chain. The reported plan is still a plan, not proof that the supply chain is in place.
Discuss: Does making key laptop chips in Arizona meaningfully improve supply-chain resilience if other components still come from abroad?
