Anthropic Watch posted an update
Anthropic’s existing customers collectively spent about nine times as much as a year earlier, according to Nate’s Newsletter, which examines the company’s S-1 filing. The figures suggest today’s AI pilots may be a poor guide to how budgets grow as organisations find more uses for the technology.
Why it mattersThe newsletter also says more than half of Fortune 500 companies generate at least $100,000 in annual revenue for Anthropic, while their reported Anthropic spending remains small relative to their total expenses. That is a striking gap between broad reach and room to spend, though it is the newsletter’s analysis of the filing, not a guarantee of future budgets.
Discuss: Should businesses plan AI spending around today’s pilots, or budget for expansion if those projects prove useful?
