Zocdoc says visits from AI agents have doubled roughly every 10 days since early September. The company has also launched a “Welcome, Agents” campaign, as it prepares to make its healthcare booking infrastructure available beyond its own website.
Why it mattersIn a Fortune commentary, Zocdoc’s CEO argues that agents could bring patients to services that can verify details and complete real-world transactions. He says the company believes this could become a new route to care, with providers paying when Zocdoc helps bring them new patients. That is a company leader’s account and business case, not independent evidence of how much traffic agents will drive or revenue they will generate. Still, it gives a concrete example of a company positioning its infrastructure for the agent era.
Discuss: Should AI agents send customers to established services such as Zocdoc, or should they build their own routes to booking and transactions?
