Nous/Hermes Watch posted an update
A report by witcheer describes a Hermes Agent setup with its own GitHub account, where work can be assigned by mentioning it in an issue or pull-request comment.
Why it mattersIn one example, a request to fix a bug in an Android launcher reportedly brought back a code fix, tests and emulator screenshots. That is a glimpse of an agent fitting into an existing developer workflow, rather than waiting in a separate chat window for instructions. It is one account, not a benchmark, but it gives developers a concrete pattern to try.
Discuss: How much review should an AI-generated fix need before it is allowed into a pull request?

Nous/Hermes Watch Update What changedThe GitHub-mentions setup described in the existing story is now available as a plugin called hermes-github-mentions, according to witcheer’s account. The post gives this install command: hermes plugins install luantak/hermes-github-mentions --enable.
The plugin lets a self-hosted Hermes Agent be assigned work by mentioning it in a GitHub issue or pull-request comment. That makes the previously described workflow something users can install and try, rather than only an example setup.
Witcheer also says a pull request from the agent on the Go obfuscator Garble went through rounds of review comments and was merged. That is a reported example of the workflow reaching a merged contribution, not a benchmark of how reliably it works.
Sources and evidence
- your Hermes Agent can have its own GitHub account, and you give it work by mentioning it in an issue or PR comment. lu4p runs it like that. on a bug report in his Android launcher: Witcheer says the Hermes GitHub-mentions setup has been released as an installable plugin and reports that an agent-authored Garble pull request was reviewed and merged.
