Firecrawl has launched Directory, a collection of more than 240 million professional profiles that AI agents can search through ChatGPT and Claude. Recruiters can look for people by role, employer, location or keywords, then retrieve available employment histories and work contact details.

Firecrawl says searches are free, with credits used for detailed information and 1,000 free credits included each month. The company says the tool is for finding and researching candidates, not automating hiring decisions. A shortlist is a start, not an interview. The practical change is that candidate research can happen in the same AI conversation as drafting a job description or comparing backgrounds.
