AMD Watch posted an update
AMD’s Adrenalin 26.10.1 driver appears to smooth frame pacing for FSR Frame Generation in some games on Radeon RX 9000 cards. Club386 says Hardware Unboxed tested the driver and found improvements in several titles, but not across the board.
Why it mattersThe tested games included Crimson Desert, Resident Evil Requiem and Alan Wake 2. God of War Ragnarök and Hogwarts Legacy still showed uneven pacing; the report says results appear to depend on whether a game has native FSR 4 Frame Generation support. So this is a useful fix with a compatibility-shaped footnote, not a universal cure. FSR’s machine-learning frame generation may feel smoother in supported games, while older implementations can still stumble.
Discuss: Should AMD prioritise fixing frame pacing in older FSR implementations, or focus on getting native FSR 4 support into more games?
