A PassMark entry reportedly linked to an Intel Nova Lake-S engineering sample scored 5,210 in single-thread testing, but its multi-thread result trailed AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D. The figures are an early, unverified glimpse, not a verdict on a finished processor.
Why it mattersGadget Review reports that the entry is listed as “Intel 0000” and scored 61,509 in multi-thread testing, against 72,066 for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D. The benchmark entry does not identify a retail model, and the sample’s configuration is uncertain. So the headline-grabbing lead applies to one test, while the same reported results show a sizeable deficit in another. Until retail hardware is tested, the numbers are a curiosity, not a buying guide.
Discuss: Which matters more in a CPU comparison: a strong single-thread result or performance across multi-threaded workloads?
