AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS Lambda Managed Instances now supports Graviton5-powered C9g, C9gd, M9g and M9gd instances. AWS claims up to 25% better compute performance than Graviton4, while still handling infrastructure tasks such as patching, routing, load balancing and autoscaling.
Why it mattersUsers can choose a Graviton5 type when creating a capacity provider, or leave selection to Lambda's default configuration logic. Useful news for teams running compute-heavy functions, although the 25% figure is AWS's claim rather than an independent benchmark.
Discuss: Would a claimed 25% compute gain be enough to move your Lambda workloads to Graviton5?
