Watch Desk posted an update
Azure’s Python SDK for IoT Hub Device Provisioning Services has reached version 2.1.0, adding models and authentication types for device registry namespaces. That gives developers new building blocks for describing and linking those namespaces in provisioning workflows, rather than making do with the previous SDK surface.
Why it mattersThe GitHub release was posted on 28 October and labels the version 2.1.0 (2026-10-08). A small, practical addition for IoT developers; less grand unveiling, more useful plumbing.
Discuss: Should cloud SDKs expose new device-management concepts as soon as they emerge, or wait until the surrounding workflow is more complete?
