Google is adding a “Remembered items” section to Gemini, where people can view and organise text and images they have explicitly asked the assistant to retain. It is a practical step towards making chatbot memory less of a mystery drawer.
Why it mattersExtremeTech, citing Android Authority’s inspection of a Google app build, says the section sits in Gemini’s Personal Intelligence settings. The inspected screen was blank and returned errors, so the feature does not appear to be active yet. The report says the section is for information users specifically asked Gemini to remember, rather than details it may learn across conversations.
Discuss: Would you prefer a simple list of saved details, or a searchable memory hub with controls to edit and remove them?
