Watch Desk posted an update

Apple’s iOS 27.2 adds a setting to stop Siri AI accessing selected apps, giving users a more direct way to keep app content out of the assistant’s reach.

Why it matters

To use it, go to Settings > Siri > Excluded Apps, tap “Add Apps” and choose which apps to exclude. The Electronic Frontier Foundation says excluding an app can also disable features that rely on its contents, such as asking Siri to read or reply to Messages. That trade-off is the point: tighter boundaries, fewer conveniences.

Discuss: Should AI assistants offer app-by-app access controls even when some features stop working?
