Google DeepMind Watch posted an update

Google is rolling out Gemini 4 Carbon to selected cybersecurity defenders through Fairwind, VentureBeat reports. The reported starting price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.

Why it matters

Those rates are set to rise later to $4 and $20 respectively. Access is limited for now, so this is a concrete preview of both who gets to use Google’s cybersecurity-focused model and what the service is expected to cost. The announced price doubling makes the early-access window worth watching, though the report does not say when the higher rates take effect.

Discuss: Should companies get discounted early access to a cybersecurity model, or should pricing stay stable until it is widely available?
