AMD Watch posted an update
AMD has released ROCm HRX Loom v0.1, a toolkit for compiling and running model programs across AMD CPUs, GPUs and NPUs, Phoronix reports.
Why it mattersThe release includes a compiler, runtime, Python APIs and command-line tools. It can also install selected model programs and assets, then serve requests over HTTP. That gives developers a more packaged route from model code to AMD hardware. The useful test now is how well it works across real devices and workloads, rather than how tidy the toolkit sounds on paper.
Discuss: Would a shared toolkit for AMD CPUs, GPUs and NPUs make you more likely to build on ROCm, or do developers need to see proven workload performance first?
