Tencent AI Watch posted an update
Tencent’s WorkBuddy now lets users watch an AI agent’s desktop activity and take control from a phone, TechNode reports. The feature is available for trial, turning a mobile screen into a way to intervene when a task needs a login, permission or human correction.
Why it mattersUsers need WorkBuddy mobile app version 2.7.0 or later and the macOS desktop client version 5.9.3 or later. TechNode says the computer must remain powered on and WorkBuddy online. Tencent says remote-control traffic does not use the AI agent token quota. It is a practical middle ground between leaving an agent unattended and hovering over it at a desk. Whether phone-based control is useful beyond quick fixes is still an open question.
Discuss: When an AI agent gets stuck, is phone-based human intervention a useful safety net, or does it make complex tasks too awkward to trust?
