Hugging Face Hub v1.31.0 adds custom labels to dedicated Sandboxes, letting teams tag jobs for cost attribution, bookkeeping or reconnecting a controller run. The release also makes large or concurrent downloads more resilient, writes snapshot cache references atomically and blocks unsafe remote filenames before they reach local storage.

Why it matters

For library integrators, Hugging Face now re-exports its httpx dependency for types and exceptions, while actual Hub requests should continue using getsession(). Small version bump, substantial reduction in ways a data pipeline can develop a personality.
