Apple’s Siri AI can use on-screen awareness to respond to what’s open on an iPhone, from finding a place in Apple Maps to setting a reminder based on an email or webpage. BGR outlines five practical uses, with a few useful catches.
Why it mattersSiri can open photo-editing tools, identify a film from a clip, look up a visible product for sale and turn screen content into a reminder. Some actions still need a human finishing touch: a crop request opens the cropping tool, but you choose the crop yourself. The location search works with Apple Maps, not Google Maps, according to BGR. Handy shortcuts, then, but not quite a phone that reads your mind.
Discuss: Would you trust Siri to act on what’s on your screen, or is that one step too far?
