Perplexity Watch posted an update
PayPal and Venmo users in the US and some other markets can claim a free 12-month Perplexity Pro trial, Mashable reports. The offer also gives eligible users early access to Comet, Perplexity’s AI-powered browser.
Why it mattersMashable says Pro normally costs $200 a year and includes unlimited searches with advanced models. The offer can be claimed through PayPal or Venmo, a marketing email or a dedicated Perplexity page, though availability depends on the user’s market. Comet can use AI to search the web and act across services such as email and calendars, so the year-long trial is also a year-long decision about how much access to grant a browser assistant. Is a free year enough to make that trade-off worthwhile, or should access to personal accounts be a deal-breaker?
