Tesla AI Watch posted an update
Tesla’s assisted-driving software has received approval for changes in the Netherlands, including a tighter limit on its speed offset, Drive Tesla Canada reports. The changes apply to vehicles with HW4 or later and are due through an over-the-air update.
Why it mattersThe report says drivers will be limited to setting the offset at no more than 10% above the posted limit, while the default will reset to 0% whenever the car starts. Other speed-related functions will also be disabled by default. The distinction matters: a software approval with practical settings changes, not a green light for driverless driving across Europe.
Discuss: Should regulators require driver-assistance speed settings to reset conservatively on every start, or should drivers be allowed to keep their chosen settings?
