Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft and Lumen are expanding their co-selling collaboration, with a focus on connecting the scattered networks and systems enterprises need to run AI workloads. Lumen plans to bring more of its cloud-networking services to Azure and Microsoft Marketplace over time.
Why it mattersThe companies say the work will help customers connect data centres, public clouds and other environments. That is a practical part of deploying AI, even if the announcement offers no customer results or delivery timetable yet. The partnership is an infrastructure plan, not a new AI service.
Discuss: Should companies treat network connectivity as part of their AI strategy from the outset, or wait until they have a clear use for it?
