Watch Desk posted an update
Residents in Dumfries and Galloway now have until 29 November to comment on CX Tech’s proposed 1GW AI data-centre campus at Chapelcross, DnG24 reports. That gives local people more time to weigh in on a project with a substantial AI-infrastructure footprint.
Why it mattersThe campaign group Say NO to Chapelcross AI Data Centre is also asking opponents to send in photos and statements. The group plans to attend a march in Edinburgh on 14 November. The extension is a useful change for anyone preparing a response.
Discuss: What should carry more weight in deciding a project like this: the case for AI infrastructure, or the views of the community hosting it?
