Watch Desk posted an update
mSecure has advised customers to change passwords, reset or re-enrol two-factor authentication, and potentially remove passkeys after its developer detected suspicious activity, The Register reports. The company says it has launched an investigation, mitigated the issue and brought in external cybersecurity experts.
Why it mattersWhat happened, when it happened and whether customer information was accessed remain unclear. That leaves people who may have hundreds of credentials stored in mSecure without a clear way to know which ones need changing.
Discuss: When a password manager gives broad reset advice without explaining what may have been exposed, should customers change every saved credential or wait for specific guidance?
