Atomy chairman Park Han-gill says he wants AI to help the company grow sales fivefold without increasing headcount, creating room to pay staff more. The Korea Times reports that Park also said employees might still need to work twice as hard.
Why it mattersThat is an unusually frank version of the productivity bargain: higher pay on one side, more output per worker on the other. It is a stated ambition, not a description of AI systems already deployed or measured results.
Discuss: Should AI-driven productivity gains show up mainly as higher pay, fewer jobs, or less work for the people who remain?
