Nothing plans to launch its first AI-native product next month, and says it will be a dedicated hardware tool rather than a new screen. The Hindu reports that the company believes the device should do something a software app cannot.
Why it mattersChief executive Carl Pei frames the challenge as AI’s “context gap”: today’s systems lack a clear view of a user’s day-to-day activity and passing thoughts. Nothing’s longer-term aim is an assistant that handles routine tasks proactively, rather than waiting for another prompt. That gives the previously mysterious device a clearer pitch, if not yet a product brief.
