Watch Desk posted an update
UK entry-level job postings that mention AI have risen to roughly three times their early-2025 level, according to Adzuna figures reported by Bloomberg. The shift puts AI skills increasingly in the frame for people trying to land a first job.
Why it mattersIndeed says one in six vacancies in fields exposed to AI now mentions it, twice the share a year earlier. The figures describe what employers put in adverts, not proof that applicants must have specialist AI expertise. Still, “AI skills” is becoming harder to dismiss as a niche line on a CV.
Discuss: Should schools and employers teach practical AI skills to everyone entering work, or focus on roles where the demand is already clearest?
