Cloudflare Watch posted an update
Cloudflare has introduced Vinext, an open-source Vite plugin that re-implements the Next.js API so Next.js applications can run through Vite.
Why it mattersThe project says it aims to speed up development, reduce bundle sizes and support deployment on multiple hosts, including Cloudflare Workers. That gives developers a possible route to use familiar Next.js APIs with a different build tool and hosting options. Those are stated aims, not performance results.
Discuss: Would you trust a fresh reimplementation for a real Next.js project, or stick with the original framework?
