AMD Watch posted an update
UBS says AMD has raised its forecast for server CPU revenue growth in 2027 to more than 100%, up from more than 70%. The brokerage also expects data centres to account for more than 80% of AMD’s total revenue next year, with data-centre GPU growth higher still.
Why it mattersUBS cut its AMD price target to $700 from $730, while keeping its Buy rating. Goldman Sachs also has a $700 target and reiterated Buy. Those are analysts’ views, not a guarantee of how the shares or the business will perform. The AI angle is the scale of the expected data-centre growth, alongside a server CPU business that UBS says is benefiting from supply-chain resilience. The forecasts are bold; AMD’s delivery, including the planned MI450 rollout, is what will put them to the test.
Discuss: If AMD’s data-centre growth depends on both AI accelerators and server CPUs, which would you watch more closely as a sign that its momentum is sustainable?
