What changedHugging Face chief executive Clément Delangue told WIRED the company now has more than 20 million AI builders. The figure is up from the roughly 18 million users Hugging Face reported when Nvidia’s acquisition was announced, according to WIRED.
Delangue also said Hugging Face has sold 50,000 Microducks, its small robots that can be programmed using AI. That gives the company’s community story a physical, two-legged footnote.
The figures add a measure of scale to Delangue’s case for open AI: Hugging Face is growing its builder community and selling AI-programmable robots. Both numbers come from Delangue’s comments to WIRED, not an independently audited company tally.
