Lettance, a new AI service for landlords managing properties themselves, costs £29 per property a month. It sorts tenant messages by urgency and prepares replies or maintenance instructions, but landlords must approve the wording before anything is sent.
Why it mattersThe platform also reads safety and energy certificates, keeps rent records and prepares information for the planned landlord register. Its developer says it checks licensing requirements against 293 of England’s 296 councils, but has published no independent evidence of its accuracy or time savings. Property Industry Eye reports that Lettance does not find tenants, conduct viewings, visit properties or offer legal advice. So it is an admin tool, not a letting agent in a box.
Discuss: Would you trust AI with routine landlord correspondence if you still had to approve every message?
