Luma AI Watch posted an update
Luma is pitching its Ray 3.2 video model to professional studios on the strength of HDR finishing and camera control, rather than headline resolution. Its new comparison guide says Ray 3.2 exports 16-bit ACES2065-1 files and supports up to 16 keyframes in the interface, or 64 through its API.
Why it mattersThe guide contrasts that with other models’ priorities, including longer clips, higher resolution and audio generation. It is Luma’s own comparison, so treat the rankings as sales copy with useful specifications attached, not a neutral verdict on the field. For studios, the practical question is whether colour depth and directorial control matter more than 4K output or longer clips. Luma makes a clear case for its corner of the workflow, at least.
Discuss: For professional AI video, would you prioritise colour and camera control over higher resolution and longer clips?
