Gallagher Re has created global leadership roles for analytics and AI transformation, appointing Ed Messer and Jason Harger to take them up from 1 January 2027, subject to transition arrangements.

Messer will oversee worldwide analytics operations and how the company uses insights in business decisions and client advice. Harger will coordinate the AI programme, turning the company’s strategy into projects across its markets and business functions. Gallagher Re says the changes are intended to support client services, streamline workflows and improve staff productivity. The appointments put named leaders in charge; whether that produces measurable changes for clients is the more interesting test.
