Roblox is expanding its AI game-making toolkit as it also prepares to let creators distribute games outside the main Roblox app. Reuters reports that Build already lets users create, test and publish a playable game from a text prompt, while Scene Generator will use prompts and reference images to create game layouts and new NPCs will help playtest them.
Why it mattersRoblox says about 9,000 games have been published with Build, though that figure and the promised features remain company claims. The practical shift is clear: game creation is moving closer to describing what you want and then wrestling with the results.
Discuss: Would AI-generated layouts and NPC playtesting make you more likely to build for Roblox, or less confident in the quality of what gets published?
