Huawei has brought its HarmonyOS smart-cockpit technology to an electric tricycle made by Huaihai, CarNewsChina reports. The trike can connect with HarmonyOS devices and supports voice commands and smartphone-app features.
Why it mattersThe app can locate the vehicle, lock and unlock it remotely, and run system diagnostics. That is a more useful set of wheels than the phrase “smart trike” might suggest, though the report does not give the vehicle’s price or launch date. It is a small but concrete expansion of connected-vehicle technology beyond cars.
Discuss: Would you pay extra for smart features on a short-trip trike, or should this sort of vehicle stay simple?
