IREN Watch posted an update
IREN’s Horizon 4 site in Texas is still without backup generators and cooling equipment, putting a year-end delivery for Microsoft at risk, TokenPost reports. The project is part of an agreement valued at about $9.7 billion, according to the report.
Why it mattersThat makes the missing kit more than a construction snag: it could affect when Microsoft gets the computing capacity it expects. IREN and DataOne declined to comment, TokenPost says. For a project on this scale, the timetable is the detail to watch.
Discuss: Should large cloud contracts carry public milestones for essential site equipment, or would that expose too much commercially sensitive detail?
